2. Laser melting and cutting process

After the workpiece is partially melted, the molten material is sprayed out with the help of air flow to form an incision. Laser melting and cutting do not need to vaporize the metal completely, and the energy required is only 1/10 of that of vaporized cutting. Laser melting cutting is mainly used for cutting some non-oxidized materials or active metals, such as stainless steel, titanium, aluminum and their alloys.

3. Laser oxygen cutting process

The material is ignited under the irradiation of the laser beam and undergoes a fierce chemical reaction with oxygen to generate another heat source to further heat the material, which is called oxidative melting and cutting. Due to the large amount of heat generated by the oxidation reaction in the cutting process, the energy required for laser oxygen cutting is only 1/2 of that of melting and cutting. The same thickness of structural steel has a higher oxidation cutting rate, which is much greater than laser vaporization and melting cutting. . Laser oxygen cutting is mainly used for easily oxidized metal materials such as carbon steel, titanium steel and heat-treated steel.

4. Control the fracture cutting process

This process means that a small area of brittle material is heated by a laser beam, which causes a large thermal gradient and severe mechanical deformation in this area, leading to the formation of cracks in the material. Simply put, it is high-speed and controllable cutting by laser beam heating, which is called controlled fracture cutting. It is mainly used for brittle materials that are easily damaged by heat.
