The working principle of the metal laser cutting machine is not difficult to understand. The laser cutting machine uses a focused high-power and high-energy density laser beam to irradiate the workpiece, so that the irradiated material quickly melts, vaporizes, ablates, or reaches the ignition point. The coaxial high-pressure high-speed airflow blows away the molten material to realize the cutting of the workpiece.


To operate a metal laser cutting machine, you generally need to follow these steps.


1. Turn on the working circuits of each part, including the main power switch, voltage stabilizer, fiber laser power switch, air compressor, air valve, air dryer, etc. to ensure that the power supply system of each part is normal.


2. Trial operation of the machine to confirm that the machine runs smoothly, and the limit and emergency buttons are reliable.


3. Place the metal material to be cut smoothly on the cutting table of the machine tool, operate the console computer screen at the same time, input parameters such as the thickness of the product material, and import the graphic pattern into the machine.


4. Control the movement of each axis through the functions in the menu, and adjust the cutting position to the appropriate part of the plate.


5. Adjust the cutting head to the appropriate cutting focus position through the direction keys on the panel.


6. Start the laser and machine tool, and then the equipment automatically starts cutting according to the input parameters and graphic patterns.


7. During the cutting process, there must be staff (users) present. If there is an emergency that requires a quick response, press the emergency switch.


8. After finishing the cutting work, pay attention to checking the cutting accuracy and quality of the first sample.


Boot sequence


1. Turn on the main power switch.(the computer will run automatically)

2. Turn on the key switch.

3. Turn on the chiller, and turn on the laser source when the temperature is above 20℃.

4. Turn on the laser source about 30 seconds later, press the enable button on the laser source panel, and the button will turn red.

5.Turn on the main valve of the O2 and N2,let the O2 output pressure about 0.5MPa,N2 output pressure about 1.8Mpa.

6. Turn on cutting software, follow the prompts go to origin first, then import the file and the cutting parameters.


Shutdown sequence


1.Turn off the O2 and N2 main valve, press the blow button output pressure remain in tube.

2.Shut down the computer.

3.Turn off the laser source key switch.

4.Turn off machine key switch.

5.Turn off chiller.

6.Turn off machine main power switch.


Precautions for the use of chiller


  1. Please fill the chiller with purified water.

  2. Every 2-3 months change water.

  3. Summer chiller temp setting:Low temperature 25-26℃,high 28-30℃.

  4. Winter chiller setting:Low temperature 22-24℃,high 24-26℃.

  5. In areas where the temperature may be lower than 0°C in winter, please note that before the water freezes, the purified water inside the water chiller must be replaced with the antifreeze recommended by the company. DO not use car antifreeze to prevent corrosion of the chiller.

  6. After the temperature rises in spring, change the antifreeze to purified water in time to prevent high temperature alarm in summer.

  7. Please keep the chiller clean,at least clean once every week.

  8. Please keep the chiller good ventilation and heat dissipation,avoid direct sunlight.




Software basic operation process

1. Follow the prompts to return origin first when start the software.                  

2. Open the file(.dxf) going to cut                 ,select it and sort.                   

3. Import the right cutting paramater                  ,according to the paramater note change the nozzle.                                      

4. Move the laser head to the plate,then frame                  ,make sure red light do not go out of plate.

5. Press shutter         .

6. Press start                 to cut,do not leave away machine when machine is cutting ,anything goes wrong should stop immediately.

For example, when near the laser beam, wear protective glasses that meet the requirements to avoid unnecessary risks. .
