  In the cutting process of laser cutting machine, auxiliary gas is essential! We often use oxygen and nitrogen, of course, the higher the purity of gas, the better the cutting quality. There are also many customers who want to save cost and adopt air cutting. However, there is always water mist on the protective lens during the cutting process, and the cutting quality is poor. Why?

  First of all, the high-energy laser will be popularized to help people with the function of auxiliary gas:

  1、 In order to blow away the residue and achieve the best cutting effect;

  2、 It can effectively achieve the effect of smooth cutting surface, no burr and slag hanging, which belongs to fine cutting;

  3、 Use gas to blow away the metal slag and protect the lens to avoid the slag sticking on the lens and affecting the cutting quality;

  4、 It can react with the material and increase the cutting speed. For example, the combustion supporting effect can be achieved by using oxygen.

  Although air can be used as auxiliary gas, but because air contains water and oil, if not treated, it will cause lens pollution, cutting head instability, so that cutting effect and quality are not up to standard. Therefore, in the use of air cutting, it is necessary to equip the fiber laser cutting machine with a cold dryer, which can solve this problem well. The cold dryer can forcibly cool the compressed air below the required dew point temperature, so as to condense a large amount of water vapor and oil mist contained in it into liquid drops, and then discharge the compressed air out of the machine through the gas-liquid separation, so as to dry the compressed air.

  Cleaning steps for laser cutting machine lens protection:

  The protective lens material is ZnSe (arsenide zincate), so it is relatively brittle, and it is afraid of falling; when disassembling, it must be noted that: do not use too much force, and do not collide with hard objects. When cleaning a laser cutting machine to protect the lens, always use clean wiping paper and optical grade solvent to prevent damage by other pollutants. Because the size of most pollutants and surface defects is relatively small, we often need to use amplification equipment when checking the lens.

  On the contrary, you can operate with gloves and special sets. For smaller lenses, it is more convenient to use optical tweezers or vacuum tweezers. No matter what method is used to clamp the optical fiber laser cutting machine to protect the lens, it can only be clamped along the non optical surface, such as the frosted edge of the edge of the mirror plaque. Wipe paper must be moistened with a suitable solvent and must not be used dry. In consideration of softness, the available wiping paper is pure cotton webril wiping paper or applicator such as cotton ball, lens paper, and cotton swab. In addition to amplification equipment, sometimes we need to use a relatively bright beam of light to irradiate the optical surface to enhance the specular reflection intensity of surface pollutants and defects, so that pollutants and defects can be more easily found.
