1. Corner melting
When cutting the corner of sheet steel at a reduced speed, the laser will melt the corner due to overheating. A small radius is generated at the corner to maintain the high-speed laser cutting and avoid overheating and melting of steel plate when cutting the corner, so as to obtain good cutting quality, reduce cutting time and improve productivity.
2. Coplanar cutting
When two or more parts are combined into a group, large quantities of regular graphics should share the same side as much as possible. Cutting at the same side can greatly shorten cutting time and save raw materials.
3. Disposal of surplus materials
After cutting the parts, the framework like surplus material on the working table of laser cutting equipment needs to be removed as soon as possible to facilitate the subsequent cutting operation. For the laser cutting equipment without automatic discharge device, the skeleton like surplus material can be cut into small pieces to facilitate rapid removal. So as to avoid personal injury caused by the operator moving heavy and sharp edge surplus materials.
4. Part spacing
In general, when cutting thick plate and hot plate, the distance between parts should be large, because the heat effect of thick plate hot plate is large, it is easy to burn edges and affect the cutting quality when cutting sharp corners and small figures.
5. Leader settings
In the process of cutting thick plate, in order to make the cutting seam connect well and prevent the burn at the beginning and end, a transition line is often introduced at the beginning and end of cutting, which are called lead and tail line respectively. The lead and tail line are useless for the workpiece itself, so they should be arranged outside the scope of the workpiece, and at the same time, the lead should not be set at the sharp corner and other places that are not easy to heat dissipation. The connection between the lead wire and the slit shall adopt arc transition as far as possible, so as to make the machine move stably and avoid the burn caused by corner pause.
6. Part collision
In order to maximize the production efficiency, many laser cutting equipment are operated continuously for 24 hours, and use the automatic loading / unloading device which is operated by no one to bump into the cut parts and cause the cutting head damage and production interruption, resulting in great losses. This requires attention when sorting:
① Select the appropriate cutting path, bypass the cut parts, and reduce the collision.
② Choose the best cutting route to reduce cutting time.
③ Automatically or manually combine multiple small parts with micro connection. After cutting, the removed parts can easily disconnect the micro connection.
