Academically: Laser ablation (the scientific name for laser cleaning) or photoablation is the process of removing material from a solid (or sometimes liquid) surface by irradiating it with a laser beam. At low laser flux, the material is heated by the absorbed laser energy and evaporates or sublimates. At high laser flux, the material is usually converted into a plasma.

Typically, laser ablation refers to the removal of material with a pulsed laser, but if the laser intensity is high enough, a continuous wave laser beam can ablate material. Excimer lasers of deep ultraviolet light are mainly used for photoablation. The laser wavelength used for photoablation is about 200 nm.

The depth of absorption of laser energy and the amount of material removed by a single laser pulse depends on the optical properties of the material as well as the laser wavelength and pulse length. The total mass ablated from the target per laser pulse is often referred to as the ablation rate. Laser radiation characteristics such as laser beam scan speed and scan line coverage can significantly affect the ablation process.

3. The method of laser + inert gas, that is, when the laser is irradiated, the inert gas is blown to the surface of the substrate. When the dirt is peeled off from the surface, it will be blown off the surface by the gas immediately to avoid re-contamination and oxidation of the surface;

4. After using the laser to loosen the dirt, use non-corrosive chemical methods to clean it.
