1. The protective lens material is zinc oxide (zinc arsenic oxide), which is fragile and not easy to fall off. Attention shall be paid during disassembly and assembly: do not use too much force and do not collide with hard objects. There is anti reflection film on the surface of the lens, which is afraid of pollution, humidity, oil and scratch. Therefore, dry air is required when working, instead of touching the protective lens directly with hands, because the grease on the skin will cause permanent damage to the surface of the lens. You can wear gloves or their special sets to operate. For smaller lenses, it is more convenient to use optical tweezers or vacuum tweezers. No matter what method is adopted, we can only clamp the lens along the non-optical surface, such as mirror edge grinding.

2. Generally, before use, before and after cleaning, check the protective lenses of the machine. Since most of the contaminants and surface defects are small, we often need to use amplification equipment to check the lenses. In addition to the amplification equipment, sometimes we need to use a bright beam to irradiate the optical surface to enhance the specular reflection of surface pollutants and defects, so as to find pollutants and defects more easily.

3. When cleaning the laser cutting machine to protect the lens, clean wiping paper and optical solvent are often used to prevent the damage of other pollutants. Wipe paper must be moistened with a suitable solvent and cannot be dried. Considering the softness, the available wiping paper is pure cotton mesh wiping paper or applicator such as cotton ball, lens paper, cotton swab, etc.

Of course, there are some pollutants and lens damage that cannot be removed by cleaning, especially the burning of the film caused by splashes and dirt. The only way to restore good performance is to replace the lens.
